About Us

Company Profile

The new VisiFone from Viseon will be offered to North American consumers in early 2005 by broadband providers and telephone companies. The VisiFone was designed to enable and enhance the next generation of consumer telephony, Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP. VoIP utilizes a consumer's high-speed Internet connection to deliver an in-home telephone experience that is far superior to the 100-year-old analog technology being used by consumers today.

By coupling a VoIP service from any carrier with a VisiFone, consumers will experience a new level of digital audio clarity, similar in contrast to the difference between AM radio and CD stereo. VisiFone users will also enjoy a long list of features only possible on broadband, including TV-quality, two-way video communication, on-screen feature management, WideBand speakerphone, digital photo/video sharing and many other easy-to-use features.

The initial target market for the VisiFone is the 18 million new U.S. VoIP subscribers expected by the end of 2008. Other markets for the VisiFone include global consumer VoIP users, corporations and government applications.

Viseon has been developing broadband audio and video communication solutions since 1993 and completed its initial public offering in 1995. Thousands of Viseon corporate videoconferencing systems have been sold around the globe under brands such as Philips. Viseon has been granted 23 U.S. and international patents and has 50+ pending, all of which pertain to video communication and applications for a consumer communication device.
